🇭🇺 Hungary: Eurovision Backing Singer Helga Wéber Has Died Aged 39

Helga Wéber, who represented Hungary at Eurovision 2012 and 2013 as a backing singer, has died at the age of 39.

The singer Helga Wéber, who performed on the Eurovision Song Contest stage, has passed away. The singer, who was 39, passed away after a long illness. She is best known for having performed as a backing singer alongside Compact Disco in 2012 and Bye Alex in 2013.

As well as being a singer she was a trained lawyer, and continued to perform alongside choirs up until earlier this year. Her partner announced Helga’s death on social media saying she was an “extraordinary person who, as a lawyer, was always present with her positive personality, deeply feeling nature and immeasurable love; and as a musician, she brought joy to all of our lives.”
