An average of 450,000 viewers watched the Grand Final of Festival da Cançao 2025 live on RTP 1.
An average of 450,000 viewers watched the show, which is a drop of 43,000 viewers compared to the Second Semi-Final. The show had an average share of 11.5%, also a drop of 0.5% compared to the second semi-final.
The peak audience was during the results, with around 621,000 viewers and a share of 16.4%. RTP 1 was the most watched channel during the voting and until the end of the show.
After a record of 912,000 viewers in 2018, Festival da Canção has been losing viewers for a number of years. The past four editions of the final have seen the number of viewers watching live on RTP 1 fall, with this year seeing a drop of 36,000 viewers compared to 2024.
The results were decided by seven regional juries (50%) and public voting (50%). The results were as follows (jury + public voting):

- Margarida Campelo – “Eu sei que o amor” (I know that love) 6 points (6 + 0) 9th
- HENKA – “I Wanna Destroy U” 12 points (0 + 12) 4th
- Bluay – “Ninguém” (Nobody) 1 point (0 + 1) 12th
- Jéssica Pina – “Calafrio” (Shiver) 12 points (10 + 2) 6th
- Marco Rodrigues – “A minha casa” (My home) 7 points (3 + 4) 8th
- NAPA – “Deslocado” (Displaced) 17 points (7 + 10) 1st
- Peculiar – “Adamastor” 4 points (1 + 3) 10th
- Fernando Daniel – “Medo” (Fear) 16 points (8 + 8) 3rd
- Emmy Curl – “Rapsódia da paz” (Rhapsody of peace) 4 points (4 + 0) 11th
- JOSH – “Tristeza” (Sadness) 12 points (5 + 7) 5th
- Diana Vilarinho – “Cotovia” (Lark) 17 points (12 + 5) 2nd
There was a tie for first place between NAPA and Diana Vilarinho. As NAPA received more points from the public vote, they were declared the winners.
The band will compete in the first semi-final on May 13.

Portugal debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 represented by António Calvário. The country finished last scoring nul points. Before 2017, the best result of Portugal was 6th place which came in 1996 when Lúcia Moniz performed in Oslo. She scored 92 points, receiving 12 points from both Norway and Cyprus. In 2017, Portugal produced a spectacular win when Salvador Sobral took home the crystal microphone with his song “Amar pelos dois”. The 2018 contest was held in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon for the first time.
