🇸🇪 An Interview with KAJ: “We Wanted to Turn Strawberry Arena into a Sauna”

Ahead of the final of Melodifestivalen 2025, Eurovoix spoke with KAJ about what it feels like to be one of the favourites to take victory tonight.

We spoke with the group about how it feels to have performed together for over 15 years and now be set to perform for over 30,000 people in the final. The group discuss the audience reaction to the song not only in Sweden but across Europe, they also reveal what’s the most exciting but also nerve wracking part of tonights final.

KAJ will close tonight’s final with “Bara bada bastu” (Just take a sauna), the group are viewed as one of the two favorites to take victory and represent Sweden in Basel this May.

Tonight: 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇸🇲 San Marino & 🇸🇪 Sweden Select for Eurovision 2025

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest 7 times – tying with Ireland, the most recent being in 2023. Abba´s win in Brighton 1974 with the song “Waterloo” marked Sweden’s first victory. Since missing out on the final in 2010 the country has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest three times. Only in 2013 and 2021 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final
