The method by which the winner of the San Marino Song Contest 2025 will be determined has been announced.
San Marino RTV has released the jury regulations, which will determine how the winner of the San Marinese Eurovision selection will be determined. As previously announced, five jurors will determine the winner of the San Marino Song Contest, 3 chosen by San Marino RTV, 1 by the Secretariat of State and 1 by Media Evolution. The jurors are:
- Luca De Gennaro (DJ) (president of the jury)
- Roberto Sergio (Director of SMRTV)
- Federica Gentile (TV and radio host)
- Ema Stokholma (TV and radio host)
- Mario Andrea Ettore (Marketing manager at SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Editors
The jurors will be voting across three rounds from today through to the live show.
Round One – Pre-listening and evaluation of the songs – March 4
Each of the jurors will listen to the twenty songs competing in the San Marino Song Contest. They will assess the studio recordings of the song and will assign points on two criteria:
- Overall artistic criteria (artistic validity, production quality, emotional impact) – 1 to 10 points allocated per song
- Affinity with Eurovision (radio and international potential, coherence with the musical language of the event, possible participation in the Eurovision competition) – 1 to 10 points allocated per song
In this round, each song can be awarded up to 20 points by each juror, with a maximum of 100 points available per song from the jury.
Round Two – Live Performance – March 8
The jurors will then assess the songs based on their live performance in the final of the San Marino Song Contest 2025. They are assessing the songs in this round based on:
- Quality of vocal performance
- Stage presence and interpretation
- Television effectiveness and charisma
- Eurovision Potential
Jurors can award up to 10 points per song, meaning a maximum of 50 points can be received by a song in this round.
Round Three – Overall Results
The five jurors can have awarded up to 30 points to each song across the previous two rounds, meaning a maximum score of 150 points is available from the jury.
The Artistic Director also has the possibility to assign bonus points to one artist based on their evaluation of the entries. The Artistic Director can award 10 points to one act only.
The winner will be the act that receives the highest number of points across rounds one, two and three, with a maximum score of 210 points.

- Luisa Corna – “Il giorno guisto” (The right day)
- CuRLi – “Juliet”
- Elasi – “Lorella”
- Haymara – “Tómame las manos” (Give me your hands)
- KiNG FOO – “The Edge of the World”
- Paco – “Until the End”
- Gabry Ponte – “Tutta l’Italia” (All of Italy)
- Questo e Quello – “Bella Bella” (Beautiful beautiful)
- Silvia Salemi – “Coralli” (Corals)
- Angy Sciacqua – “I”
- Taoma – “NPC”
- Teslenko – “Storm”
- The Rumpled – “You Get Me So High”
- Giacomo Voli – “Ave Maria”
The San Marino Song Contest will take place in the Teatro Nuovo in Dogana on March 8.

San Marino debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 alongside Azerbaijan. On their debut, they were represented by Miodio and the song “Complice”, and finished last in their semi-final with just 5 points. San Marino withdrew from the contest before returning in 2011. Since then the country has participated annually and in 2014, they qualified for their first final. Since their first qualification, they have qualified for the final in 2019 and 2021.
