Justyna Steczkowska has outlined her first plans for Eurovision following her victory in the Polish national selection.
Justyna Steczkowska who will represent Poland in Basel with “Gaja” has given her first thoughts on what to expect from her at Eurovision. The singer is promising a ‘spectacular’ performance on the Eurovision stage, with work commencing today with TVP.
The singer has already confirmed that her outfit will change from black to gold for the Eurovision stage. Conversations are also underway to ensure that Tomasz Kukurba Kroke can join Justyna in Basel, Tomasz played the violin and sung in the national final performance.
The Polish representative confirmed in an interview with Radio Zet that she has been invited to a number of pre-parties across Europe already including London, Amsterdam and Manchester. One thing that will not be changing for Eurovision is “Gaja”, with Justyna confirming that the national final version will remain for the contest in May.
She is keen to promote extensively ahead of the contest in May, wishing to organise meetings with the Polish diaspora and includes Polish diplomatic missions in holding events. Justyna is clear that this will require significant funding and is hopeful that there are companies and individuals willing to support her on the road to Eurovision.
Justyna Steczkowska was crowned the winner of Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji 2025 and so will be representing Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel in May 2025. The results were decided solely by public voting. Justyna will perform in the first half of the first semi-final on May 13, this will mark 30 years to the day when Justyna last stepped on the Eurovision stage on May 13, 1995.

Poland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 alongside a number of other Eastern European countries. Their debut year saw their best result to date in the contest, as Edyta Gorniak finished in 2nd place with her song “To nie ja!”. Following this, Poland failed to repeat this initial success, managing a top 10 placing on only one other occasion during their initial participation in the contest between 1994 and 2011. In 2012, following a string of non-qualifications, Poland withdrew from the contest due to financial difficulties. Since their return in 2014, they have been considerably more successful in the contest, having qualified for the final six times out of ten attempts.
