Mamagama have been selected to represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.
İctimai has revealed that Mamagama has been selected to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2025. Their song is expected to be released in the upcoming weeks.
Mamagama are a band based in Baku. They have performed both in Azerbaijan and abroad. In 2022, they took part in Kënga Magjike in Albania, where they won Best International Song for their entry “Dreamer”. In 2023, they were shortlisted to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision but were not selected.
From 154 entries submitted, 12 entries were selected to go through to the assessment stage by an eight-member international and an eight-member Azerbaijani jury.
On the Azerbaijani jury were:
- Elshad Khose – Rapper
- Dihaj – Represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2017
- Aysel – Represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2009
- Heyder – DJ and producer
- Faig Sujaddinov – People’s Artist of Azerbaijan
- Rain Sultanov – Honored Artist of Azerbaijan
- DJ Fateh – Presenter and Director of İctimai Radio
- Balakishi Gasimov – Director General of İTV
The jurors each voted anonymously and the results of the Azerbaijani and international jurors have determined the artist who will represent their country in Basel.
Fahree and Ilkin Dovlatov represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “Özünlə apar”. They finished 14th out of 15 entries in Semi-Final One scoring a total of 11 points. This was the second year in a row Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, they were represented by Elnur & Samir with the song “Day After Day”, they finished 8th in the final. In 2011 Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Ell & Nikki and their song “Running Scared”. The song scored a total of 221 points, receiving only three sets of 12 points from Malta, Russia and Turkey. In 2018, Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final for the first time, having previously had a 100% qualification record.
