Teo joins Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji, the Polish national selection for Eurovision 2025, with a wildcard.
It was initially believed that the lineup for Wielki Finał Polskich Kwalifikacji, Poland’s national selection for Eurovision 2025, was complete. However, broadcaster TVP has now announced that 18-year-old singer Teo, also known as Teo Tomczuk, will join the competition as the 11th contender with a wildcard.
According to Polish media, Teo was originally removed from the final lineup during auditions due to issues with his citizenship. Although he has Polish roots, he has lived and worked in Norway for most of his life. Recently, Teo obtained Polish citizenship, paving the way for TVP to grant him a wildcard entry.
Teo has an impressive background in acting, having performed at Den Nationale Scene, Norway’s National Theatre, and appeared in the NRK TV series Rykter.
Teo is competing with “Immortal”, the song was written and composed by Teo himself in collaboration with Jeremi Sikorski and Jakub Krupski.

Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji
Poland’s national final for Eurovision 2025 will be held on February 14 in Warsaw. Chrust has been drawn to open the final in the Polish capital while Dominik Dudek will close the show. The winner of Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji will be chosen by televoting alone.
Luna represented Poland at Eurovision 2024 with “The Tower”. Poland did not qualify for the final, placing 12th in Semi-Final One scoring 35 points, 12 points short of tenth place and qualification.

Poland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 alongside a number of other Eastern European countries. Their debut year saw their best result to date in the contest, as Edyta Gorniak finished in 2nd place with her song “To nie ja!”. Following this, Poland failed to repeat this initial success, managing a top 10 placing on only one other occasion during their initial participation in the contest between 1994 and 2011. In 2012, following a string of non-qualifications, Poland withdrew from the contest due to financial difficulties. Since their return in 2014, they have been considerably more successful in the contest, having qualified for the final six times out of ten attempts.
