The first four finalists of Benidorm Fest 2025 have been chosen.
The first semi-final of Benidorm Fest 2025 took place this evening in the Palau d’Esports l’Illa de Benidorm. The show was hosted by Paula Vázquez, Ruth Lorenzo, and Ines Hernand. Spain’s 2015 Eurovision representative Edurne performed as interval act, followed by the girl band Ginebras.
A total of eight artists participated tonight for their chance for four spaces in the Grand Final on February 1. The qualifiers were decided by a professional jury (50%) and public voting (50%). On the professional jury were:
- Roberto Santamaría (director of Radio Nacional de España)
- Javier Llano (head of music programming at CADENA 100, a Spanish radio station)
- Jaime Acero (Content Director of TelevisaUnivision and music producer)
- Claudia Orellana (esteemed musical talent scout)
- Oksana Skybinska (Head of the Ukrainian delegation for Eurovision)
- Maja Tokic (executive producer of Dora, Croatia’s Eurovision preselection)
- Twan van de Nieuwenhuijzen (Dutch Head of Contest for Eurovision 2023 and former Dutch Head of Delegation)
- Mariangela Borneo (Italian RAI’s Director of International Projects and Festivals).
The jury, with 50% of the vote, revealed its top 4: Kuve, Lucas Bun, Lachispa, and Daniela Blasco. The public vote, meanwhile, had for its top 4 Lachispa, Daniela Blasco, Sonia & Selena, and Kuve.
The final results were as follows (qualifiers in bold):
- Kuve – “Loca xti” (Crazy for you)
- David Afonso – “Amor barato” (Cheap love)
- Chica Sobresalto – “Mala feminista” (Bad feminist)
- K!ngdom – “Me gustas tú” (I like you)
- Lucas Bun – “Te escribo en el cielo” (I write to you in heaven)
- Sonia & Selena – “Reinas” (Queens)
- Lachispa – “Hartita de llorar” (Tired of crying)
- Daniela Blasco – “U Na Na”
Tonight’s qualifiers will be joined by four more qualifiers from the second semi-final on January 30.
Last year, Nebulossa represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with “Zorra”. The duo placed 22nd, scoring 30 points.

Spain debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has competed annually since, making them the longest participating country that has never withdrawn. Spain has won the contest on two occasions; the first being in 1968 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest. The 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
