Fèis Pan Cheilteach – Alba has made an open call for songs to represent Scotland at the Pan Celtic Song Contest 2025.
The Scottish organising committee for the Pan Celtic Song Contest has made an open call for songs for this years contest. The song submission window is open until February 28, the entry that will represent Scotland in Carlow will be selected by the organisation. Songs can be submitted to alba-pc@outlook.com.
Scotland has won the Pan Celtic Song Contest on eight occasions, their last victory came in 2010 represented by Màiri Chaimbeul & Jenna Moynihan with “Back and Forth”. In 2024 they were represented by Maya Evan MacGregor (Maighea Eòghainn MacGriogair) with “Muile nan Geug”, they placed 4th with 41 points.
The Pan Celtic Song Contest has been held annually since 1971 and is part of the Pan Celtic Festival. The aim of the contest is to promote modern Celtic languages and cultures from the six Celtic nations of:
- Brittany
- Cornwall
- Ireland
- Isle of Man
- Scotland
- Wales
