Rehearsals have commenced in Podgorica for the Montenegrin selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
With two days to go until the final of Montesong 2024, rehearsals are underway in the Montenegrin capital. The sixteen competing artists arrived in Podgorica yesterday for their first rehearsals, with today being the first full day of rehearsals including their stage outfits.
Danijel Alibabić from the Association of Entertainers told RTCG that:
“The performers got to know the huge stage and sound. We are trying to use modern technology and make it easier for the performers to sing and perform. We will have 16 real Eurovision performances,”
“Whoever wins out of the 16, they will win deservedly. We should all stand by the winner and see him off to Basel so that he can do as well as possible at Eurovision,”
The winner of Montesong 2024 will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% public televote. The jury will be formed of seven members and award their ten favourite songs 1 to 7, 8, 10 and 12 points. The points will then be combined to give an overall jury result, which will again be translated into 1 to 7, 8, 10 and 12 points.
For the public vote, voters will be able to cast a maximum of 1 vote per telephone number. Voting will be done through SMS and will cost 1 Euro. The voting will be open for 20 minutes, the voting totals will then be converted in to 1 to 7, 8, 10 and 12 points.
In the event of a tie taking place for first place, the tie will be broken by looking at which of the two songs received the most 12 points from the individual jurors. If this does not resolve the tie, they will continue to work down to points from 10 to 1, if there is still a tie then the jury President will determine the winner.

- Dolce Hera – “Repeat”
- Baryak – “Dva srca” (Two hearts)
- Vercia Čuljković – “Čuješ li” (Do you hear?)
- Milena Vučić – “Škorpija” (Scorpio)
Montesong 2024 will take place on November 27 at the Voco Sports Hall in Podgorica.
Montenegro will return to Eurovision 2025 after a two-year break. On its last appearance in the contest, Vladana finished 17th in the second semi-final, failing to qualify for the final.

Montenegro debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest as an independent country in 2007, and participated until 2010 when they withdrew for financial reasons. They returned to the contest in 2012, and since then have always chosen their entry internally. Montenegro failed to qualify for the grand final until 2014, when Sergej Ćetković and his song “Moj svijet” placed 19th in the final. Their best result came a year later, when Knez performed “Adio” in Vienna. They have never reached the top 10, with Knez reaching 13th out of 27 countries.
