Tonight: Liet International 2024

Tonight the final of the 14th edition of Liet International takes place in Bastia, Corsica with thirteen competing entries.

The 14th edition of Liet International will take place this evening live from the Centru Culturale Alb’oru in Bastia, Corsica. Liet International is a song contest for minority and regional languages across Europe and was first held in 2002.

A total of thirteen acts have been chosen to compete in this years contest. Entries from Friesland, the German minority in Denmark and Corscia were pre-qualified for the contest, while the remaining ten entries were selected from an open song submission process.

The participants, song and the language they will perform in are:

The contests winner will be chosen entirely by jury voting, each region that an entry is representing is represented by one juror. The winner of the contest does not automatically host the next edition, however the next host has been determined using this format in the past.

Two interval acts will be performing as part of the show this evening. Doria Ousset the winner of Liet International 2022 will perform “Roma”, while  Yoann Casanova and Delia Lucia will sing “Hosanna in excelsis”, this was the song Corsica won with in 2008.
