RTVE has announced the guest performers that will take to the stage during the Opening and Interval of Junior Eurovision 2024.
The Spanish broadcaster has announced the artists that will be performing as guests at the 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The opening of the show in Madrid will see Mario Ruiz joined by three past Junior Eurovision participants:
- María Isabel – Winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 for Spain
- Zoé Clauzure – Winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 for France
- Sandra Valero – Runner-up for Spain at Junior Eurovision 2023
They will be joined on stage by the seventeen acts competing in Junior Eurovision 2024 as they perform the common song for this years contest. The flag parade which introduces the competing countries will also take place during these performances.
During the interval there will be perform of “Time to Bloom” which has been directed by Sergio Jaén who staged Ireland’s performance at Eurovision 2024. The song talks about self-improvement, self-acceptance and the importance of being authentic.
Singer Abraham Mateo will also be taking to the stage performing his song “Maníaca”, the song has been streamed nearly 30 million times since it was released in June 2023.
Junior Eurovision 2024
The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, following Spain’s second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.
