The filming of the postcards for the seventeen artists in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has commenced.
With rehearsals underway in Madrid, the filming of the postcards for the 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has commenced this morning. Postcard filming takes place over two days as the artists take part in the first rehearsals.
The host broadcaster RTVE has not announced the theme for the postcards or what will be showcased in them. Footage from the recording of the postcards sees the artists in front of a green screen, with a crew from the host broadcaster.
The postcards are shown in the 40 seconds before each performer, performs their entry for the competition. In past years they have introduced viewers to the host country and introduced the artist who is next on stage. We are likely to find out more about the theme of the postcards during open dress rehearsals at the end of this week.
Junior Eurovision 2024
The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, following their second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.
