Ramires Sciberras who will be representing Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has been promoting in Italy.
The Maltese representative has spent two days in Italy doing media appearances to promote his participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The singer spent two days doing various activities at the Italian broadcaster RAI, including meeting Simone Grande who is representing Italy in Madrid.
Ramires Sciberras was selected to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 after winning the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
The song he will perform in Madrid is called “Stilla Ċkejkna” (Little star). It was written and composed by Aleandro Spiteri Monseigneur, Lon Kirkop and Peter Borg. It is the first ever Maltese Junior Eurovision entry to be completely in Maltese.
Junior Eurovision 2024
The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, following their second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013 on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the competition with “The Start”. She was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015, Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia, Bulgaria with the song “Not My Soul”. Malta finished last at the 2005 contest in Belgium, 2019 edition in Poland and the 2022 edition in Armenia. Malta joins North Macedonia as the Junior Eurovision country with the most last-place finishes, finishing last three times
