Annabelle Ats will perform “Tänavad” for Estonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid.

ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, revealed that Annabelle Ats will perform “Tänavad” (The streets) at Junior Eurovision 2024. The song is written and composed by Sven Lõhmus, who has written four previous Estonian Eurovision entries; “Let’s Get Loud” (2005), “Rändajad” (2009), “Rockerfeller Street” (2011) and “Verona” (2017). In an interview this evening on Ringvaade on ETV, Lõhmus stated that he wrote the song with both a child singer and a song contest in mind.

“She’s [Annabelle] a special girl because of her deep low voice. I’ve never written songs for a song contest like this before, or for children in general, so I thought I’d try. The song is about the street life of young people.”

“Tänavad” will be released at the beginning of October. A music video has also been filmed for the song.

Annabelle Ats was selected to represent Estonia at Junior Eurovision 2024 after winning the 11-13 category of the ETV singing competition Tähtede lava. She was the first participant of Junior Eurovision 2024 to be revealed.

Arhanna represented Estonia last year on its debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She finished 15th with “Hoiame kokku”.
