🇪🇸 Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García to Host Junior Eurovision 2024

Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García have been revealed as the hosts of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Clotet and Melani García will host Junior Eurovision 2024 on November 16 live from the Caja Mágica in Madrid. The hosts were revealed by RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster and the host broadcaster of Junior Eurovision 2024, during the RTVE new season launch.

Ruth Lorenzo first rose to fame after finishing fifth in the fifth series of The X Factor in the United Kingdom. Four years later, she returned to her native Spain to compete in the Spanish selection for Eurovision, which she won. She then represented Spain at Eurovision 2014 with “Dancing in the Rain”, finishing tenth. Apart from a recording career, Ruth has also hosted many television shows, most recently Benidorm Fest 2024.

Ruth commented on her new role:

“This is a responsibility like few others I have ever had as a presenter. I live it with the same enthusiasm, responsibility and fantasy as the young artists that will come to Madrid to share their music”.

Marc Clotet first became known through his role as Iago on the Catalan soap opera El cor de la ciutat in 2008. He then became known throughout Spain for his roles as Vicente Vaquero in the teen drama Física o Química in 2009 and as Paulino in the 2010 drama film La Voz Dormida, for which he was nominated for Best New Actor at the Goya Awards. He is also a television producer and produced the 2023 Spanish-Swedish series Esto no es Suecia.

Marc shared his excitement:

“Being able to host a show like this, in front of 30 million people, in English, and to follow and support the dream of so many girls and boys from all over Europe, makes me very happy”.

Melani García first came to fame after winning the fourth series of La Voz Kids. In 2019, she represented Spain at Junior Eurovision 2019 on the country’s first appearance at the contest since 2006. She finished third with her song “Marte”. Since participating at Junior Eurovision, she has gone on to release more music and was one of the hosts of the Eurovision-Spain Pre-Party 2024.

Melani commented on her return to the Junior Eurovision stage:

“Being there and living the experience from another point of view is one of my dreams. I will take the stage as an artist but also as a Eurofan, and I will try to make sure that you enjoy the festival as much as I will”.

Junior Eurovision 2024

The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, Spain, following their second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.
