The search for the next Cypriot representative for Eurovision 2025 has reportedly come to an end.
iEidiseis reports that the Cypriot national broadcaster, RIK, has chosen not only the artist that will represent the island at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, but the song as well.
The website has also been given additional detail on the identity of the artist. It is supposed to be a young man of Cypriot origin with very good musical studies even abroad. This comes as no surprise, since RIK had already stated their preference for artists based entirely in Cyprus.
The first official announcement from RIK about Eurovision 2025, which will only concern the name of its representative, is expected to be made extremely soon, definitely from September 1 onwards.
Silia Kapsis represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with the song “Liar”. She qualified for the Grand Final and placed 15th, scoring 78 points.
