GPB, the Georgian national broadcaster, has confirmed that they will participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
GPB confirmed to Eurovoix that Georgia will participate in Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid. This confirmation comes over a month after the final of Ranina, the show that has been used to select the Georgian Junior Eurovision entrant since 2018.
GPB did not confirm whether or not Andria Putkaradze, the winner of Ranina 2024, will represent Georgia in Madrid. Instead, they stated that the representative would be announced in due course.
Junior Eurovision 2024 is set to take place on November 16 at the Caja Mágica in Madrid.
Georgia was represented by Anastasia and Ranina at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with “Over the Sky”. They finished 14th out of 16 entries with 74 points. This is the joint worst performance for Georgia at the contest alongside 2019.

Georgia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Georgia has won the contest on three occasions, making them the country with the joint highest number of victories throughout the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in JESC in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Most recently in 2016, eleven-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo” in JESC 2016 host city Malta, and took the victory with 239 points.
