🇩🇪 Germany: Junior Eurovision 2024 Selection Voting Open

The public voting for the German selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has opened.

Voting is now open for the German selection for Junior Eurovision 2024. A total of five artists have recorded one minute demo versions of their potential Junior Eurovision entries. Videos for all of these performances were recorded in Hamburg.

The five competing artists and songs are:

  • Bellamore – “Too Cool”
  • Bjarne – “Save the Best for Us”
  • Franz – “Komplett” (Complete)
  • Greta – “All of Me”
  • Julius – “Jupiter”

Voting will remain open on the KiKa website until 23:59 CEST on June 30. The public voting will account for 50% of the overall results. Internet users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can vote here.

The remaining 50% will be decided by an expert jury. The winner will represent Germany in Madrid and will have a full version of their entry created and released. The winner will be revealed on July 1.

FIA represented Germany at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Nice with “Ohne Worte”. This was their third appearance at the contest. Germany finished in 9th place with 107 points, which is the country’s best result in the contest to date.

Junior Eurovision 2024

The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, Spain, following their second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.

Germany in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Germany made their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. They were represented by Susan with the song “Stronger with You”, scoring 66 points, finishing 12th and last. In 2021 Pauline performed “Imagine Us” and finished 17th with 61 points. Their best result was achieved at the 2023 contest, where they returned after a year out. FIA finished 9th with her song “Ohne Worte”.
