The eight acts that will be competing in the final of Liet 2024 have been revealed by contest organisers.
The eight acts that will compete to represent Friesland at the Regio Songfestival 2024 and Liet International, have been revealed by Liet’s organisers. The eight acts were chosen by a jury and online voting, over 1,500 votes were cast by the public to select their favourite. The jury selected seven of the finalists, while the public selected one finalist.
The finalists are:
- Fegebart – “Bingojûn“
- Hannah Hoogsteen – “Tegearre Begjinne“
- Lotte en Berend – “Bring my werom“
- Haitze F de Vries – “Thús“
- Elise Westerhof – “Eigen Wei“
- André van der Weide – “De dei fan hjoef is goed“
- Albert Meijer – “Bosk“
- Pietrik & Trynke – “Tinzen“
The artists eliminated from the contest are:
- Gerben Kooistra – “Do“
- De Orbs – “Shumbagwaja“
- Sina Keuning – “Wês net bang“
- Zem – “Wolkom“
- 2nd Try – “Brêchjes Yn Grou“
- Lenton Sequens – “Yn tempo dûbel“
- Sadelrûkers – “Smoarge hûn“
The final of Liet 2024 will be held on September 19, the winner of Liet 2024 will represent Friesland at the Regio Songfestival 2024 in Limburg as well as Liet International 2024. The winner will be determined by public and jury voting. Melissa Pander won Liet 2023 and placed 5th in the Regio Songfestival 2023.
