The Capital of Greenland, Nuuk is set to host the second edition of Pan-Arctic Vision on October 12.
The second edition of Pan-Arctic Vision, the song contest for Arctic communities will be held in Nuuk this October. The competition will be held on October 12 at the cultural center Katuaq in the Greenlandic Capital.
The aim of Pan-Arctic Vision is to unite communities across the Arctic region through music. The competition is open to singers from:
- Alaska – United States
- Faroe Islands
- Greenland
- Iceland
- Nunavut – Canada
- Northern Finland
- Northern Norway
- Northern Sweden
- Russian Arctic Exiles
- Yukon – Canada
Song submissions are currently being accepted up to May 15, songs must not exceed 4 minutes in length. Songs must not be in English unless you are native English speaker, there are no rules regarding political statements in songs.
Four prizes are up for grabs in the contest:
- Most artistic song
- Award to host the next edition
- Most revolutionary song
- The song that gave the greatest sense of community
The competition will be broadcast live on public broadcaster KNR on October 12.
