Turkey’s Eurovision winner Sertab Erener said an announcement will take place tomorrow regarding her Eurovision appearance.
Back in March, it was reported by Turkish media that Sertab Erneer will be performing at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Today, she posts on Instagram that there will be a announcement tomorrow about this rumour. Erener states:
Tomorrow I will be able to write about what will happen on stage at the Eurovision Song Contest. Tomorrow there will also be an official statement.
Last month, Swedish broadcaster SVT unveiled “We Just Love Eurovision Too Much,” a spectacular showpiece performed by host Petra Mede, as the first interval act for Eurovision 2024.
In 2003, Sertab Erener clinched the Eurovision victory with her performance of “Everyway That I Can” in Riga, Latvia.
Eurovision 2024
Loreen won the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden with “Tattoo”. She is the first female two-time winner of the competition, having previously won the 2012 contest with “Euphoria”.
Ultimately, this is Sweden’s seventh Eurovision win, following victories in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012 and 2015. This makes Sweden the joint most successful country in Eurovision alongside Ireland. Loreen has also become the first woman and the second person overall to win Eurovision twice.
Malmö will host the contest for the third time, having previously hosted in 1992 and 2013.

Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest
Turkey first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975. During the 20th century, Turkey only managed to place in the top 10 on two occasions, ninth in 1986 and third in 1997. Turkey won in 2003 with “Every Way That I Can”, their first ever entry completely in English. They went on to achieve six top 10 results in the following years. They withdrew in 2013, citing dissatisfaction with the rules of the contest.
