RTL, the Luxembourgish national broadcaster, has revealed the Luxembourgish spokesperson and commentators for Eurovision 2024.
Désirée Nosbusch will announce the points of the Luxembourgish jury in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Due to the spokespersons giving their points through telephone rather than through satellite during all of Luxembourg’s previous participations, Désirée will be the first Luxembourgish spokesperson to appear on screen.
Désirée is a Luxembourgish actress and television presenter. She hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 at just 19 years old, making her the youngest host in the history of the contest. She was also one of the hosts of the Luxembourg Song Contest, the Luxembourgish selection for Eurovision 2024.
The spokespersons that have been announced for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 so far are:
- Azerbaijan – Aysel Teymurzadeh
- Belgium – Livia Dushkoff
- Georgia – Sopho Khalvashi
- Slovenia – Lorella Flego
- Switzerland – Jennifer Bosshard
Raoul Roos and Roger Saurfeld will provide commentary for Luxembourgish viewers on TV and radio. Raoul is a television presenter and currently presents De Magazin on RTL Lëtzebuerg. He also was one of the hosts for the Luxembourg Song Contest. Roger is the current vice-president of OGAE Luxembourg. The pair will also present the show Prett fir Malmö? (Ready for Malmö?), in which they will prepare the audience for the live shows and answer questions about Eurovision.
RTL will broadcast its Eurovision content across its different platforms (RTL Radio, RTL Télé, RTL.lu, RTL Today, RTL Infos, RTLplay and its social media platforms) in Luxembourgish, French and English.
Tali was selected to represent the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, which will make its comeback to the Eurovision Song Contest through the Luxembourg Song Contest. She will take to the stage in Sweden in May, after Luxembourg’s 30-year absence, with “Fighter”.
Tali will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 7.

Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest
Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest a total of 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times, the last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, however, opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. Luxembourg will return to the contest in 2024.
