The 50th edition of the Pan Celtic Song Contest is set to take place on April 6 in Carlow, Ireland.
April 6 is the date of the final for the 50th edition of the Pan Celtic Song Contest. The contest will be held at Visual in Carlow, with tickets on sale now for 10 Euro. The contest will start at 20:30 CET.
The Pan Celtic Song Contest has been held annually since 1971 and is part of the Pan Celtic Festival. The aim of the contest is to promote modern Celtic languages and cultures from the six Celtic nations of:
- Brittany
- Cornwall
- Ireland
- Isle of Man
- Scotland
- Wales
The artists announced already as participating in this years contest are:

- Isle of Man โ Sarah Mercer and Mera Royle
Wales is the most successful nation at the competition having won the event a total of 15 times. In contrast, the Isle of Man has won the event only once in 2014.
