First rehearsals for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 continue today at the Palais Nikaïa, Nice.
The first rehearsals take place for the six countries that are yet to take to the stage in France for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Each country will have forty minutes to rehearse on the stage in Nice. The six countries rehearsing today are:
- Albania – Viola Gjyzeli – “Bota ime“
- France – Zoé Clauzure – “Coeur”
- Ireland – Jessica McKean – “Aisling”
- Italy – Melissa and Ranya – “Un mondo giusto”
- Poland – Maja Krzyżewska – “I Just Need a Friend”
- Spain – Sandra Valero – “Loviu”
First rehearsals are held behind closed doors with no members of the press in attendance. JuniorEurovision.tv will release short videos and images from the first rehearsals during the course of today. Alongside rehearsals, the participants will continue filming their postcards.

Junior Eurovision 2023 will be held at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice with the final to air on Sunday 26 November at 16:00 CET.
Estonia is debuting in the contest, while Germany is returning to the JESC fold after one year away. As a result, the “Big Five” (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) will all be competing in Junior Eurovision for the very first time.
