With two weeks to go until the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023, AMPTV will broadcast a documentary about Yan Girls.
The Armenian broadcaster will be airing Depi Mankakan Yevratesil 2023 (Towards Junior Eurovision 2023), on Sunday evening charting the selection of Yan Girls and their preparations ahead of the contest. The show will be broadcast on the main channel of AMPTV and comes with exactly two weeks to go until the Grand Final.
Yan Girls is formed of Nane, Nensi, Kamilla, Syuzana and Aida. The group are styled on K-pop artists but with an Armenian flare. Aida is 9 years old, Syuzanna is 10 and Nane, Nensi and Kamila are 11.
The song was composed by tokionine, with lyrics by Vahram Petrosyan and Maléna. Maléna won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris, France for Armenia, while tokionine was behind her winning song “Qami Qami”.
The show will be broadcast on Channel One from 20:00 local time on November 12.

Armenia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and have had 14 entries to date. The country is one of the most successful in the history of the contest, placing in the top 3 on 8 occasions, and winning twice in 2010 and 2021. Their first victory came from Vladimir Arzumanyan with his song “Mama”, which received 120 points. They won again in 2021 with “Qami Qami” by Maléna. Armenia went on to host the contest on home soil in Yerevan in 2011 and hosted again in 2022. Their debut was almost as successful, as Arevik and their song “Erazanq” was just 1 point off the winning score.
