“Stronger” the Maltese entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 performed by Yulan Law has been released.
The Maltese entry for the 21st edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has been released. “Stronger” is being performed by Yulan Law in Nice, France this November, she will be performing under the name Yulan.
13-year-old Yulan Law will represent Malta this November in Nice, France at the 2023 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She won the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and was chosen by 80% jury voting and 20% public SMS vote.
Yulan Law’s song for the competition was internally selected, with the music video for the song being recorded in the past two weeks. Yulan has previously attempted to represent Malta at the contest in 2019, 2020 and 2021. She had her breakthrough moment in 2020 when the young singer made it through to the final of Malta’s Got Talent.
Junior Eurovision 2023
Junior Eurovision 2023 will be held at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France, and the final will air on Sunday 26 November at 16:00 CET.
Estonia is debuting in the contest, while Germany is returning to the JESC fold after one year away. As a result, the “Big Five” (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) will all be competing in Junior Eurovision for the very first time.
The sixteen countries that have been confirmed to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 are: Albania, Armenia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom and Ukraine.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013 on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the competition with “The Start”. She was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015, Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia, Bulgaria with the song “Not My Soul”. Malta finished last at the 2005 contest in Belgium, 2019 edition in Poland and the 2022 edition in Armenia. Malta joins North Macedonia as the Junior Eurovision country, finishing last three times.
