The online voting in the German national for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 has been opened.
KiKa, the German national broadcaster, has opened the online voting for their online national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Nice, France. A total of five artists will be competing in the selection with a 1 minute clip of a demo of their song being released.
The finalists and their entries are:
- Toby – “Stand Up”
- FIA – “Ohne Worte” (Without words)
- Lenny – “Lieben lernen” (Learn to love)
- Adriano – “Be My Girl”
- RAHEL – “Believe”
You can watch the clips and vote here. Only residents of Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be able to vote. The results of the selection will be determined by online voting (50%) and an international expert jury (50%).
On September 18, the day after the public vote closes, the winner will be announced. In case of a tie, the entry with the higher score in the online vote will be selected for Nice.
The winning song will then be made into a full studio version with an accompanying music video, which is expected to be released on October 13.
Junior Eurovision 2023
Junior Eurovision 2023 will be held at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France, and the final will air on Sunday 26 November at 16:00 CET.
Estonia is debuting in the contest, while Germany is returning to the JESC fold after one year away. As a result, the “Big Five” (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) will all be competing in Junior Eurovision for the very first time.
The sixteen countries that have been confirmed to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 are: Albania, Armenia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom and Ukraine.

Germany made their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. They were represented by Susan with the song “Stronger with You”, scoring 66 points, finishing 12th and last. In 2021 Pauline performed “Imagine Us” and finished 17th with 61 points.
