Twelve artists are competing this afternoon to represent Malta at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The final of the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 takes place today with twelve young singers competing. Following two Semi-Finals, twelve singers were selected to compete this afternoon. The winner will be chosen by 80% jury voting and 20% public televote. You can watch the show live from 16:00 CEST here.

In September PBS will launch the search for the Maltese song for Nice, France. Composers and songwriters will be invited to submit songs for the winning artist to perform. The winning song will be announced on September 15.

PBS must consider who writes Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2023 song. If the winner isn’t involved, past Maltese JESC entrants should do so. I have nothing against the songs in general, but kids should be involved in songwriting more often. It’s a children’s song contest, anyway.
