Last night the Semi-Finalists in Raniana 2023, the Georgian selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest were announced.
The final heat of the Georgian selection for Nice was held last night with the four semi-finalists in the contest revealed. The show saw the five performers yet to tackle international songs perform for the jury. The results were as follows:
- Gabriel Lomsadze – 40+40+40 – 120 points
- Tako Tomashvili – 40+40+40 – 120 points
- Soso Chachua – 40+40+40 – 120 points
- Anastasia Berishvili – 40+40+40 – 120 points
- Anastasia Masurashvili – 39+40+38 – 117 points
This means that after four rounds of performances, the overall artist totals were:
- Tako Tomashvili – 120+120+120+120 – 480 points
- Soso Chachua – 120+120+120+120 – 480 points
- Anastasia Berishvili – 120+120+120+120 – 480 points
- Anastasia Vasadze – 120+120+120+120 – 480 points
- Gabriel Lomsadze – 119+120+120+120 – 479 points
- Anaroza Gaprindashvili – 118+120+120+19 – 477 points
- Anastasia Masurashvili – 120+117+120+117 – 477 points
- Datuna Kereselidze – 117+120+120+119 – 476 points
- Mariam Gomiashvili – 115+120+120+118 – 473 points
- Demetre Okriashvili – 118+117+120+118 – 473 points
Qualifying for the Semi-Final were the five artists who scored the highest points totals across the contest to date:
- Tako Tomashvili
- Soso Chachua
- Anastasia Berishvili
- Anastasia Vasadze
- Gabriel Lomsadze
A jury formed of three people voted after each performance awarding up to 40 points each. They score each act based on four categories: vocal, performance, artistry, and collaboration. Up to 10 points can be awarded for each category.
Mariam Bigvava represented Georgia at the Junior Eurovision 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia with “I Believe”. Georgia finished 3rd scoring a total of 161 points. The nation was 2nd with the jury but 12th with the public.
Junior Eurovision 2023
France won the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan with Lissandro and “Oh Maman!”. He scored a total of 203 points placing ahead of second-placed Armenia. The contest will be held in Nice on November 26.
