The United Kingdom’s 2023 Eurovision representative, Mae Muller, will release her debut album “Sorry I’m Late” on September 15, 2023.
“Sorry I’m Late” is Mae Muller’s first ever album and the announcement comes after her Eurovision entry, “I Wrote A Song” entered the Top 10 of the Official Singles Chart.

Speaking in an exclusive with the Official Charts, Mae goes on to say about her debut album:
“I’m so excited about the album coming out!
“I can’t wait for the fans that have stuck by me from the beginning to hear the record, and for those that have been so supportive on my Eurovision journey to hear more music. I’m really showing a different side of myself on this album: a vulnerable one, one that I haven’t spoken about before.
“I can be strong, sassy, confident, and I can also be sad and have my low moments, but I’m still me…. it’s just as empowering to show both sides.”

Who is Mae Muller?
Holly Mae Muller, better known as Mae Muller, was born on August 26 1997 to a Jewish family in Kentish Town in London. She started writing her own music when she was eight years old. She also appeared in the music video for “Grace Kelly” by Mika, who would later go on to present Eurovision 2022.
After getting a friend to show her how to use the producing software Logic, Mae began uploading her original songs to SoundCloud in 2017. She was discovered by her manager on Instagram. She released her debut EP “After Hours” in February 2018. This was followed by a second EP “Frankly” in September 2018.

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and holds the record for the most consecutive appearances in the contest. To date, the UK has won the contest a total of five times, with their first victory coming in 1967 and their latest in 1997. The UK holds the record for the most second-place finishes in the contest, having been runner-up a total of 16 times. Since 2000 the UK has finished within the top 10 only three times, this being in 2002 with Jessica Garlick, 2009 with Jade Ewen and 2022 with Sam Ryder who finished 2nd in Turin.
