The audition shows for Junior Songfestival 2023 have concluded with the young singers hoping to represent the Netherlands revealed.
The Dutch selection for Junior Eurovision 2023 is underway, with the auditions round now complete. Across three episodes the singers hoping to represent the Netherlands in Nice, France have been revealed.
The young performers in show two were:

A total of fifty-one singers were invited to participate in the live auditions for Junior Songfestival 2023 which were held earlier this year. Next week the singers that have made it through to the Academy round of the selection will be revealed.
At the 2022 contest, the Netherlands was represented by Luna with the song “La Festa”. She finished 7th scoring a total of 128 points.
Junior Eurovision 2023
France won the 20th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan with Lissandro and “Oh Maman!”. He scored a total of 203 points placing ahead of second-placed Armenia. The contest will be held in Nice on November 26.

The Netherlands debuted at the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and is the only country to have taken part in every edition to date. To date the country has only won the competition once. Their only victory came in 2009 when Ralf Mackenbach performed “Click Clack” scoring a total of 121 points, this was just 5 points more than runners-up Armenia and Russia. The Netherlands narrowly lost the contest in 2011 when Rachel performed “Teenager”, she lost by 5 points. The Netherlands’ worst result came in 2021 when Ayana finished in 19th place out of 19 competing countries.
