The running order for the four heats of Melodifestivalen 2023 is set to be revealed on January 11.
SVT has announced today that the running order for the Heats of Melodifestivalen 2023 will be released this week. The running order will be released on January 11 at 12:00 CET, the order will be discussed by Farah Abadi and contest producer Karin Gunnarsson on SVT Play.
The twenty-eight artists participating in the Swedish selection for Eurovision 2023 are:
Heat 1: February 4 – Gothenburg
- Victor Crone – “Diamonds”
- Rejhan – “Haunted”
- Loulou LaMotte – “Inga sorger” (No Worries)
- Eva Rydberg and Ewa Roos – “Länge leve livet” (Long live life)
- Elov and Beny – “Raggen går” (The rattle goes)
- Tone Sekelius – “Rhythm of my show”
- Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc north feat. Adam Woods – “Where are you (Sávečan)”
Heat 2: Feburary 11 – Linköping
- Wiktoria – “All my life (Where have you been)”
- Eden – “Comfortable”
- Uje Brandelius – “Grytan” (Stew)
- Theoz – “Mer av dig” (More of you)
- Maria Sur – “Never give up”
- Tennessee tears – “Now I know”

Heat 3: February 18 – Lidköping

Melodifestivalen 2023 will take place across six cities in Sweden. The dates and host cities for the shows are:
- Heat 1: February 4 – Gothenburg
- Heat 2: Feburary 11 – Linköping
- Heat 3: Feburary 18 – Lidköping
- Heat 4: February 25 – Malmö
- Semi-Final: March 4 – Örnsköldsvik
- Final: March 11 – Stockholm
These cities were due to host the Melodifestivalen 2022 shows before the cancellation of the tour due to concerns about the Omicron variant of Covid-19. Melodifestivalen 2022 was held between the Avicii Arena and the Friends Arena, both of which are located in Stockholm.
Cornelia Jakobs represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. She placed 4th in the final with “Hold Me Closer”, making it the best result for the nation since they won the competition in 2015.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest six times, the most recent being in 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing out on the final in 2010, Sweden has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest twice, only in 2013 and 2021 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
