The eighth artists to feature in our Who Is series for Junior Eurovision 2022 are Lara, Irina, and Jovan from North Macedonia.
Lara loves music, an interest which she has held since a young age. The singer also plays the violin and has participated in numerous competitions. Irina enjoys playing the piano and singing and is a Piccolo Children’s Choir member. Like the girls, Jovan also loves performing, and was a runner-up at the Hip-Hop World Cup in 2018.
Originally Lara and Irina were internally selected by MRT to represent the country after an audition process, with Jovan being added to the group later.
Lara, Irina, and Jovan will sing “Životot E Pred Mene” at this year’s contest. The song was written by Lara, Simon Trpčeski, Jovan Trpčeski, and Darko Dimitrov.
Junior Eurovision 2022
Following Malena’s victory in Paris, the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan will host Junior Eurovision 2022 on December 11. The same venue also hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, which was the first Eurovision event in history to be hosted in Armenia. The venue can host between 6,000 and 8,000 people for large concerts. The venue is only the second to have hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice, after Minsk Arena in Belarus.

North Macedonia was one of sixteen countries to take part in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. On their debut they were represented by Marija & Viktorija with the song “Ti ne me poznavaš” finishing 12th with 19 points. North Macedonia’s best result to date is 5th place, which they achieved in 2007 with “Ding Ding Dong” by Rosica & Dimitar and in 2008 with “Prati mi SMS” by Bobi Andonov.
