Zlata Dzyunka will represent Ukraine at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia.
This evening the final of Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision selection show took place in Kyiv. Timur Miroshnychenko played host, and five songs took part in the competition, they were:
- Sofia Artemenko and DJ Polinka – “Zamovlyannya” (Order) – 4 Jury points + 5 public points = 9 points (2nd place)
- Zlata Dzyunka – “Nezlamna” (Unbreakable) – 5 jury points + 4 public points = 9 points (1st place)
- Elizaveta Petruk – “Pisnya pro Lelechat” (Stork song) – 1 jury point + 2 public points = 3 points (5th place)
- Darya Rebrova – “Paporoti kvitka” (Fern flower) 3 jury points + 3 public points = 6 points (3rd place)
- Diana Stasiuk – “We are the Future” – 2 jury points + 1 public point = 3 points (4th place)
After a tie for first place between Sofia Artemenko & DJ Polinka, and Zlata Dzyunka, the jury voted once again to decide the eventual winner.
The winner was determined by 50% public voting and 50% jury voting. The jury members were:
- Khrystyna Solovyy (singer-songwriter)
- Myroslava Saliy (singer, vocal coach)
- Anzhelika Rudnytska (TV presenter, artist)
At last year’s contest, Olena Usenko represented Ukraine with “Vazhil”. She finished in 6th place with 125 points, which included 12 points from the Bulgarian and Spanish juries.

Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has competed in the contest ever since. To date, Ukraine has only won the competition once. In 2012 Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song “Nebo”, she scored 138 points including eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time being in 2009 and the second being in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
