OGAE Greece reports that All Together Now will no longer be used to select the Cypriot representative for Eurovision 2023.
OGAE Greece reports that the first series of All Together Now which will be broadcast this autumn will no longer be used to select the Cypriot representative for Eurovision 2023. According to the Greek outlet, All Together Now will be used to select Cyprus’ representative for the 2024 contest, with an announcement to be made in September.
As a result of this change, the report states that the Cypriot representative for the 2023 contest will be chosen by internal selection. Cyprus has used an internal selection to determine its singer for the contest since 2016.
According to previous reports, All Together Now will be broadcast by ALPHA in Greece and CyBC every Saturday night from mid-October, with two singers from each show going through to a Semi-Final, with ten singers then competing in the Grand Final.
To progress through each of the shows singers will have to impress “The 100”. The 100 is a studio panel formed of singers, composers, and musicians who can buzz and start singing along to show their support, the more of the panel who sing along the higher the score out of 100. For the Cypriot selection, the panel will be reduced to 50 persons.
Andromache represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with “Ela”. She finished 12th in the Second Semi-Final scoring a total of 63 points. Cyprus was 9th with the public on 54 points but was last with the jury scoring 9 points.

Cyprus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981. Their best result was in 2018, with Eleni Foureira and the performance of the song “Fuego” won second place with 436 points. Before then, their best results in the contest came in the form of three fifth-place finishes. In 2004, Lisa Andreas performed “Stronger Every Minute” in Istanbul, Turkey. She finished 5th in the final scoring 170 points, which included 12 points from Greece. They also placed fifth in 1997 with Hara & Andreas Constantinou and their song “Mana mou”, and in 1982 with Anna Vissi’s “Mono i agapi.” Cyprus withdrew from the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 due to financial difficulties but returned again in 2015.
