RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, has revealed that Lorella Flego will be the Slovenian spokesperson for Eurovision 2022.
Lorella Flego will reveal the points of the Slovenian jury during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Born into an Italian-speaking family in Koper in southeastern Slovenia, Lorella spent the first years of her childhood in Africa before returning to Koper. She went on to become a journalist, fashion editor and television presenter. She is best known in Slovenia for presenting music and fashion programmes on RTVSLO.
This will not be Lorella’s first appearance at a Eurovision event. In 2008 and 2010, she presented EMA. She was also the Slovenian spokesperson in 2012 and 2021.
The following countries have announced their spokespersons for Eurovision 2022:
- France – Élodie Gossuin
- Spain – Nieves Álvarez
- Sweden – Dotter
LPS will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Disko”.
Who are LPS?
LPS (Last Pizza Slice) is a band from Celje, Slovenia. The group, which was formed in 2018 at the Grammar School Celje-Centre, is made up of Filip Vidušin (vocals), Gašper Hlupič (drums), Mark Semeja (electric guitar), Zala Velenšek (bass guitar, tenor, alto saxophone), and Žiga Žvižej (electric keyboard).

Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest
Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
