The four young musicians who will compete in the final of Virtuos 2022 on April 3 have been revealed.
NRK has revealed the names of the four young musicians from across Norway, who will be competing to represent the nation at Eurovision Young Musicians 2022. They are:
- Sanne Suh Berger โ Piano
- Bjรธrg Pas โ Violin
- Sytske Pas โ French horn
- Alma Serafin Kraggerud โ Violin
Mari Lunnan will commentate on the national selection for NRK1.
Radio France will host the Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 in Montpellier as part of Festival de musique Radio France Occitanie Montpellier and is co-operating with France Tรฉlรฉvisions on producing the contest. Eurovision Young Musicians 2022 will be held on July 23.
Birgitta Elisa Oftestad represented Norway at Eurovision Young Musicians 2018, where she qualified for the final. At the final in Edinburgh, she performed Cello Concerto, 4th movement by Elgar.
Eurovision Young Musicians has been held every 2 years since 1982 (excluding 2020) with 19 editions of the competition being held to date. Musicians from eleven different countries have won the contest, with musicians from 43 countries have participated in the competition during its history.
