The twenty-second artist in our Who Is series for Eurovision 2022 is S10 from The Netherlands.
Stien den Hollander (known as S10) was born on 8th November 2000 in Abbekerk, The Netherlands. The singer, songwriter, and rapper began her career in 2016, when she self-released her first mini-album “Antipsychotica”. Soon after, she was discovered by Jiggy Djé, a rapper who signed her onto his record label Noah’s Ark.
S10 has released two studio albums, “Snowsniper” and “Vlinder”, the latter of which peaked at number 5 in the Dutch charts. She also has numerous singles to her name, and an Edison Award for her Snowsniper album.
In December 2021, it was revealed that S10 had been internally selected to represent The Netherlands at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. A commission consisting of Dutch television commentators Jan Smit and Cornald Maas as well as radio-DJs Coen Swijnenberg and Sander Lantinga chose the Dutch entry.
Her song “De Diepte” was later released in March. The song was written by S10 herself, and producer Arno Krabman. his is the first time that the Netherlands has sent a Eurovision entry in Dutch since 2010.
S10 will compete in the first half of the first semi-final on May 10.

The Netherlands debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has gone on to compete in all bar four contests. To date the Netherlands has won the contest on five occasions; 1957, 1959, 1969, 1975 and most recently 2019. Prior to Duncan Laurence’s victory in Tel Aviv, the Netherlands had been waiting 44 years for their next victory. Duncan Laurence won the contest in Israel with the song “Arcade”.
