Yerevan will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.
During a cabinet meeting of the Armenian government, which took place on February 17, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 would take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. The Prime Minister added that the government has allocated funds to the venue to prepare for the event.
Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex has already hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. The venue can host between 6,000 and 8,000 people for large concerts.ย Preparations for the contest are in full swing with the European Broadcasting Union and AMPTV meeting last week to discuss the contest.
Junior Eurovision 2022
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place in Armenia, following the countryโs victory at the 2021 contest in Paris. This is the second time Armenia has won the contest, the first being in 2010. To date, the following countries have confirmed participation or expressed their interest:

- Ireland
- Netherlands
- Russia
- Poland
- Spain
