The Greek entry for Eurovision 2022 looks likely to be released in the second week of March based on comments from the Greek representative.
Speaking to Greek media following the filming of her music video, Amanda Tenfjord has hinted at a possible release date for her entry. Speaking about her song earlier this week she explained:
I wrote the song a year ago after a separation. I did not write it for Eurovision but for my album but now it will go to Eurovision. It will be released in about three weeks and will be a ballad with several elements from my voice.
Based on Amanda’s comments her entry looks likely to be released the week commencing March 7. This week is the last full week before the Heads of Delegation meeting when all songs must be submitted to the European Broadcasting Union.
Who is Amanda Tenfjord?
Amanda Tenfjord was born in Ioannina in northwestern Greece but moved to Tennfjord in Norway with her family at the age of 3. In 2016, she took part in the Norwegian music competition The Stream, where she placed in the Top 30.
She started studying medicine at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology but put her studies on pause in 2019 to focus on music. She has released two EPs to date; “First Impression” (2018) and “Miss the Way You Missed Me” (2021).
