S10 has revealed the Creative Team she will be working with for her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
S10 and AVROTROS have announced the Creative Team that will be working on the Dutch performance for the Eurovision Song Contest. The team is formed of Wouter van Ransbeek, Marnix Kaart and Henk Jan van Beek.
Wouter van Ransbeek is the Creative Supervisor and will devise the concept of S10’s performance for Turin. Marnix Kaart will direct the Dutch performance, he directed the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest and will turn Wouter’s ideas into “an optically unforgettable performance”.
Henk Jan van Beek is the only team member who has previously staged a Eurovision performance for the Netherlands. He will be designing the lighting for S10’s staging, he previously worked with the Dutch delegation in 2017.
S10’s entry for Eurovision 2022 will be revealed at a later date but it has been revealed that the song will be in Dutch. This will be the first time that the Netherlands will send a Dutch-language entry since 2010.
A commission consisting of Dutch television commentators Jan Smit and Cornald Maas as well as radio-DJs Coen Swijnenberg and Sander Lantinga chose the Dutch entry for Eurovision 2022. Similarly to 2019, when The Netherlands’ winning entry was chosen, the group is more focused on the song itself, rather than the artist.

The Netherlands debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has gone on to compete in all bar four contests. To date the Netherlands has won the contest on five occasions; 1957, 1959, 1969, 1975 and most recently 2019. Prior to Duncan Laurence’s victory in Tel Aviv, the Netherlands had been waiting 44 years for their next victory. Duncan Laurence won the contest in Israel with the song “Arcade”.
