More artists in the running to compete in Vidbir, the Ukrainian Eurovision selection have been revealed by Muzvar.
Ukrainian music portal Muzvar has released a list of artists that according to its sources have applied to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022. According to Muzvar, the following artists have submitted songs:

- ROXOLANA
- hurtom
- GORIM!
- Cloudless
- Michael Soul
- Laura Marti
- SOWA
- TOHKA
- Nazar Ya
- Sophia Ivanko
- Sophia Shanti
- Eria
- IDXO
- Uliana Royce
- Alina Pash
The outlet reports that the Ukrainian public broadcaster has also invited a number of artists personally to compete in the contest. Among those invited is LAUD, who is reported to be trying to find a song. While Anna Trincher who represented Ukraine at Junior Eurovision 2015 has declined the offer.
Vidbir is set to be held in February, with the Ukrainian representative being chosen by a combination of public and jury voting. The Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has taken over the organisation of the nations Eurovision selection from STB after a partnership since 2016 ended.
Go_A finished 5th in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2021 scoring a total of 364 points. “Shum” has gone viral globally and became the first-ever Ukrainian song to enter the Billboard charts. Ukraine was the public’s second favorite with 267 points.

Ukraine first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, when Oleksandr Ponomariov performed “Hasta la vista”. The following year Ruslana brought the country their first win with the song “Wild Dances”. It was a feat that would be replicated in 2016 by Jamala with her song “1944”; her emotionally charged song scored a record 534 points to take victory in Stockholm. In 2017 O.Torvald represented the country on home soil with the song “Time”. The group finished in 24th place, Ukraine’s worst result at the contest to date.
