Mia Vučković is the winner of the fourth second chance round for EMA Freš, the Slovenian Eurovision selection process.
Mia Vučković has won the fourth of this week’s second chance round of EMA Freš, beating competition from two other acts, she is competing with “Telenovela”. The other two acts that had been hoping to secure a place in the live shows in January were:
- Hvala Brothers – Gremo naprej (Go ahead)
- Lara Dovier – Ko sva se prvič spoznala (When we first met)
A total of fourteen acts will progress through to the second stage of EMA Freš. Two shows will be held in January with seven songs in each of the shows, one song will be chosen by the public and one by the jury to go through to the final of EMA 2022. The four EMA Freš finalists will join sixteen acts who will compete to represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2022.

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
