Today is the last day for songs to be submitted to represent Germany at Eurovision 2022, while Slovenia continues its duels.
Germany – Lied für Turin – Submissions Close
Today is the last day for singers and songwriters to submit their songs into the nation’s selection for Eurovision 2022. The selection has no restrictions on the language of songs or the nationality of artists competing.
Once the submissions window closes a professional jury which features Head of Delegation Alexandra Wolfslast and five representatives of radio stations across Germany will assess the songs. A total of 25 to 30 acts will be shortlisted to compete in the final before the 5 are selected to compete to represent Germany in Turin.
The final of the German selection will take place in March with the winner being determined by a public vote on radio, TV and online. This year’s selection features the involvement of ARD radio channels including Bayern 3, Antenne Brandenburg, Bremen 4, hr3, MDR Jump, NDR 2, SR 1, SWR 3 and WDR 2.
Slovenia – EMA Fres – Duel Two – 8:00 CET

The second dual in EMA Freš 2022 takes place today. Anja Vodošek will be competing against Stela Sofia for a place in the weekly heat on Saturday. The winner of today’s heat will progress to the weekly heat. Voters will be able to vote for two winners in the new round, also via an online poll, and one will be selected by an expert commission.
The two entries in today’s duel are:
- Anja Vodošek – “Maniac”
- Stela Sofia – “Tu in zdaj” (Here and now)
