SVT will reveal the remaining fourteen of twenty-eight artists competing in Melodifestivalen 2022 tomorrow.
The remaining half of the acts competing in Melodifestivalen 2022 are set to be revealed tomorrow. The artists are to be announced on social media by SVT from 08:00 CET, with the titles and songwriters behind each entry also being revealed.
Last Friday first the half of the Melodifestivalen 2022 artists were revealed. The artists and their songs are:
- Anders Bagge – “Bigger Than The Universe”
- Laimoo – “Bluffin”
- Faith Kakembo – “Freedom”
- Linda Bengtzing – “Fyrfaldigt hurra!” (Four times hurray!)
- Danne Stråhed – “Hallabaloo”
- Cornelia Jakobs – “Hold Me Closer”
- Cazzi Opeia – “I can’t get enough”
- Samira Manners – “I want to be loved”
- Omar Rudberg – “Moving like that”
- Klara Hammarström – “Run to the hills”
- Tribe Friday – “Shut me up”
- Theoz – “Som du vill” (As you want)
- Niello & Lisa Ajax – “Tror du att jag bryr mig” (Do you think I care)
- John Lundvik – “Änglavakt” (Angel guard)
This year Oscar Zia will be the host of Melodifestivalen 2022. Oscar has taken part in Melodifestivalen three times (2013, 2014, 2016). Last year he co-hosted Semi-Final 2 of Melodifestivalen with Christer Björkman and Anis Don Demina. The dates of Melodifestivalen 2022 are as follows:
- Semi-Final 1: Malmö – Malmö Arena (February 5)
- Semi-Final 2: Gothenburg – Scandinavium (Feburary 12)
- Semi-Final 3: Linköping – Saab Arena (February 19)
- Semi-Final 4: Lidköping – Sparbanken Arena (February 26)
- Semi-Final 4: Örnsköldsvik – Hägglunds Arena (March 5)
- Final: Stockholm – Friends Arena (March 12)

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest six times, the most recent being in 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing out on the final in 2010, Sweden has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest twice, only in 2013 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
