🇦🇱 Albania: Anna Gjebrea Promotes “Stand By You” in North Macedonia

Anna Gjebrea has travelled to North Macedonia to promote her entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest “Stand By You”.

For the first time since 2008, an act competing in Junior Eurovision has travelled internationally to promote their entry for the competition. Anna Gjebrea travelled from Albania to North Macedonia to appear on MRT 2 alongside Dajte Muzika.

Anna met with the North Macedonian representatives on the chat show and performed her entry on the program. The last time that a Junior Eurovision act travelled internationally to promote themselves was in 2008 when the Cypriot representatives performed in the Greek selection.

Who is Anna Gjebrea?

Anna Gjebrea is a twelve-year-old singer from Tirana, Albania. Anna is the daughter of Ardit Gjebrea who is the Producer of Kënga Magjike, as well as the host of E Diela Shqiptare.

The singer was selected to represent Albania at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest after winning Junior Fest 2021. The team behind her competing song is formed of Adam Watts, Gannin Arnold, Sanni M’Mairura and Endi Çuçi.

Albania first debuted in the Junior Eurovision Contest in 2012, and to date have had six entries. The country is still yet to win the contest, and their best result was in 2015, when Mishela Rapo performed her song “Dambaje”, which scored a total of 93 points and ended on 5th place. Albania were absent from the contest in 2013 and 2014, before returning again in 2015.
