The songwriters behind the Irish entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 have been revealed.
The songwriters who have created the song that Maiú Levi Lawlor will perform at Junior Eurovision 2021 have been revealed. The team behind the Irish entry is a mix of Irish and Maltese songwriters, with a mix of experience at Eurovision and Junior Eurovision. The songwriters are:
- Niall Mooney – Co-writer of Ireland’s Eurovision 2010 and Junior Eurovision 2019 entries
- Lauren White Murphy
- Brendan McCarthy
- LA Halvery
- Anna Kearney – Represented Ireland at Junior Eurovision 2019 and co-wrote her entry
- Anna Banks – Co-wrote Ireland’s entry at Junior Eurovision 2019 and is the sister of Ireland’s Junior Eurovision representative from 2015
- Cyprian Cassar – Maltese songwriter who co-wrote the Maltese entry for Junior Eurovision 2018 and the 2021 Maltese entry
The title and date of the Irish entry for Junior Eurovision have yet to be revealed but are expected to be in the coming week. Maiú Levi Lawlor was selected as the Irish representative in the final of Junior Eurovision Éire.

Ireland debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the 2015 contest in Sofia, Bulgaria. The nation’s participation is organised by the Irish language broadcaster, TG4. At the 2015 contest in Bulgaria Ireland was represented by Aimee Banks with the song “Réalta na Mara”, she finished 12th in the final. The country’s best result came at the 2016 contest in Malta. Ireland was represented by Zena Donnelly with the song “Bríce ar Bhríce”. She finished 10th in the final scoring a total of 122 points, including receiving the country’s first 12 points in the contest.
