Elisabetta Lizza has revealed her song “Specchio” (Mirror On The Wall).

Italy’s Junior Eurovision 2021 representative, Elisabetta Lizza, has revealed her entry for the contest. Elisabetta was internally selected by RAI to sing for Italy at the contest next month.

Italy will be returning to Junior Eurovision after withdrawing in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Italy had competed in the contest since 2014 and was the first Big Five country to compete in the contest since 2007. On their last appearance in the contest in 2019, Marta Viola performed “La voce della terra” and finished in 7th place with 129 points.

Who is Elisabetta Lizza?

Elisabetta comes from Ardo in the province of Brescia in northern Italy. For the last three years, she has been performing in musicals and entering local competitions. Apart from singing, she also enjoys dancing, playing the piano and eating Italian food with her friends and family. Her favourite artists are Sam Smith, Bruno Mars and the reigning Eurovision champions Måneskin.

Italy debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. Their first and only win to date was on their debut, when Vincenzo Cantiello came in 1st place with 159 points with his song “Tu Primo Grande Amore”. Their worst result was in 2015 when twins Chiara & Martina came 16th with 34 points with their song “Viva”. Since their debut, Italy have participated in every contest except for 2020.
