Nicoline Refsing has been named by RTVE as the Artistic Director for Levi Díaz’s performance at Junior Eurovision.
RTVE has announced that Nicoline Refsing is the Artistic Director for the Spanish entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. This is the second time that Nicoline has worked with RTVE on Junior Eurovision, having staged “Marte” when Spain returned to the competition in 2019.
Nicoline who staged Conchita Wurst’s winning performance at Eurovision 2014 commented that:
“Reir” is a fantastic, fun song and it exudes happiness. After the tragic situation that we have gone through – and that we are still suffering with the pandemic – I think it is very important to regain the smile, have fun and get together again. This song has that joy. how much we need
While not revealing any specifics of the Spanish performance for Paris, Ms. Refsing added:
I want the staging to represent the spirit of “Reir”: the energy, color and joy that the song gives off.
